So far in this series, I described the two guiding principles at the heart of design thinking (human-centered design and co-creation) as well as the unique structure of the design thinking process. The purpose of this article is to describe seven specific applications of design thinking that ethics and compliance practitioners can use in their work, from a quick, five-person ideation huddle as part of Monday morning’s team meeting, to a comprehensive E&C program overhaul, involving multiple workstreams, an open-innovation platform, and potentially thousands of participants.
